VALENTINE’S DAY MONDAY, 14 FEBRUARY 2011
The housemothers and leaders from Lewensruimte decided to do something different with Valentine’s Day this year. In previous years, a dance or fashion show was held, after which a mister and miss Lewensruimte were chosen.
This year it was decided that the residents and housemother of each group home would decorate their group home for Valentine’s Day. The leaders were the judges and awarded the prizes. All the group homes were decorated beautifully in red and white.
The judging was done and at 16:30 that afternoon, everyone got together in the hall to find out which group home had won.
Nessie group home won first prize, with Magrietjie second, Kiewiet third and Swartkat and Sonop sharing fourth place. Everybody was happy and they all enjoyed the prizes that they received. We are hoping that someone will come up with another brilliant idea next year.
