The Personal Assistant is responsible for managing the office and administration effectively. She has to ensure that the time of the Head of the Centre of Knowledge is used optimally. She also offers help and administrative support to him.

The training and development officer manages the learning and professional development of people in the Social Competency Model through training sessions. The development work relates to the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills so that they can fulfil their potential within our organisation.

Special Support Assistant (SSA)
The job of the SSA is to assist a deafblind person during conferences, meetings and sensitization sessions to ensure that he follows the communication, and also to read material to him which he cannot access otherwise. The SSA is also the administration assistant for the Africa Contact Group for Mental Health and Deafness.

Sign Language Co-ordinator
The Sign Language officer is responsible for all activities relating to Sign Language. He is also a Sign Language interpreter and can be contacted for any queries relating to either Sign Language or Sign Language interpreters.

Researcher
The researcher explores all aspects of the experiences of persons living with hearing loss, from birth though to post-retirement age. His role is to ensure that the information gathered can be used practically to empower persons living with hearing loss in all areas of life.

Consultant: Database
The Database consultant provides training to the Centre of Knowledge and also sees to it that no information on the database is overlapping. She also keeps the database running by checking if the email addresses and telephone numbers are working.

Information Facilitator
The information facilitator’s responsibilities include: Answering enquiries about hearing loss and related issues. She also helps with the updating of the database and helps to educate the broader community about hearing loss.

Promotion and Awareness Facilitator
The promotion and awareness facilitator is responsible for marketing and networking. He also serves as a consultant to the Public Education and Awarness Department regarding deafblindness and assistive technology. He further assists in marketing the programmes of the Africa Contact Group on Mental Health and Deafness and to build suitable networks for these programmes.

Communication Facilitator
The Communication Facilitator is responsible for co-ordinating all the activities of the Africa Contact Group for Mental Health and Deafness (ACGMHD). He is also the liaision contact to the French speaking Africa countries.

Multi-Media Production (MMP) Facilitator
The Production Facilitator is responsible for managing the Multi-Media Production Department as well as the process of the production. The MMP-facilitator ensures that high-quality products are produced, edited and published. He is also responsible for liaising with clients and to market the products and services of the department.
