CHURCH MEETING!

On Saturday the 24 Of September, our congregation met for a day of reflection, fun and potjiekos!

We started the day and reflected on our congregation's story. Following a first meeting on 13 August we had the opportunity to see how members of our church write en re-write the story of our beginnings and history.We asked and discussed questions like : "Where is God in our story?", Who are we today?", "What is God's dream for us?". We were again reminded of each and everyone's importance in the body of Christ. We are looking forward to what God is doing in us and through us.

Preparations for potjiekos began Friday evening with cleaning and preparation of potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and all the other niceties for the potjie on Satuday. With the fire burning early, around 7.30, Saturday morning a few earlybirds gathered around oom Flip Piek to see how its done. After a few hours with nearly 120 tickets sold everyone agreed that we should do it again!!
