The South African Association of Audiologists (SAAA) is an interest group originally formed by South African Audiologists in private practice, but since 2002, SAAA also represents and is supported by South African Audiologists employed in all fraternities.

The aim and purpose of SAAA is to develop and promote AUDIOLOGY to the public, medical and educational fraternities and other related healthcare professions. In the quest to promote AUDIOLOGY and in striving towards professional service excellence, SAAA actively liaises with statutory institutions e.g. HPCSA, medical aids, related professional associations / bodies etc.

SAAA focus on the development and promotion of Audiology as a profession, in order to achieve, and maintain international Audiology standards. We are committed to support the public, medical fraternity, medical aids, our colleagues and related healthcare professions where Audiology is concerned. Audiologists are passionate people. We are passionate about our profession and passionate about life in general.

Worcester Museum
WORCESTER MUSEUM
Website: www.worcestermuseum.org.za

Worcester in the Breede River Valley has a rich history covering a time when the region was inhabited by indigenous hunter gathers and pastoralists followed by trekker farmers and later the introduction of commerce and industrial change.

Owing to its situation in the Breede River Valley the Worcester Museum is a cultural history museum with a strong focus on agriculture. The collections emphasise the Cape colonial history with agricultural implements, wagons, furniture, glass, ceramics, textiles and metal.

The grounds have been developed with structures forming a traditional Cape farm yard. Live demonstrations depict activities of a bygone era such as the baking of bread in an outdoor brick oven and the forging of metal by a blacksmith.

The museum has a well developed educational function offering an annual programme with the focus on traditional farm and household traditions such as the tramping grapes for wine making, shearing sheep, milking cows and candle making.

The museum is working at establishing and maintaining networks across the community. One of the museum objectives is promoting social harmony and dialogue.

The museum is situated on the R60 1 km outside Worcester, on the road to Robertson
