Day 1 – Saturday 31 July 2010
We are well. We drove safely. There was a strong wind on the way also road works.

Day 2 – Sunday 1 August 2010
We have a service for Deaf people in Kimberley this morning at 10:00. Pray that the Gospel flame will be light in Kimberley.

Day 3 – Monday 2 August 2010
KIMBERLEY - Pray that LOCAL Deaf leaders unite in peace. Pray for the learners of Retlameleng Deaf, blind, physical and mentally disabled, that they know they are God’s diamonds. Pray for the teachers that they make good decisions for the learners.

Day 4: Tuesday 3 August 2010
105 school children and staff sang and danced yesterday. The children sat very still while they listened to the message. God was there. Pray for hostel matters. We depart for Leeudoringstad today. Evangelist Johannes Tshishonga and Pastor Hermanus Engelbrecht is joining us.

Day 5 – Wednesday 4 August 2010
There were 2 meetings in Leeudoringstad presented to 59 learners. Evangelist Johannes Tshishonga and Pastor Hermanus Engelbrecht joined us. Pray for the learners of Kutlwanong School for the Deaf and a safe journey.

Day 6 – Thursday 5 August 2010
We are in Pretoria. Thank you Lord that 180 learners and 25 adults were reached by the Gospel yesterday. Pray for the preaching to hard of hearing learners of Sonitus School for hearing impaired learners and Deaf people of Filadelfia School. Pray for physical and spiritual strength.

DAY 7 – FRIDAY 6 AUGUST 2010
Please pray for the effect the world wide strike have on schools and especially on schools for the Deaf. Pray for the principals, staff and learners of die schools for the Deaf.

DAY 8 – SATURDAY 7 AUGUST 2010
We are residing at Colette’s parents’, Koos en Salomé Gouws, Wildsplaas in the Waterberge. The peacefulness and limited cell phone reception is good, because now we can rest – physically and spiritually. Thank the Lord for that.

DAY 9 – SUNDAY 8 AUGUST 2010
Waterberge – We are rested and have strength once again. Today we are going to Potgietersrus (Mokopane) to meet a group of adult Deaf. Pray that we strengthen and build each other spiritually.

DAY 10 – MONDAY 9 AUGUST 2010
We were 20 people at yesterday’s social gathering in Potgietersrus (Mokopane). We were busy from11:30 – 21:00. Thank the Lord for this opportunity to be with Old Deaf people. Thank the Lord that Deaf Friendly, AFM, Deo Gloria, Kempton Park, Pretoria Deaf and DCMA, old learners of Transoranjé, St Vincent and Sonitus schools could pray together.

DAY 11 – TUESDAY 10 AUGUST 2010
Thank the Lord for a wonderful day of rest. Pray for a safe journey of 3 hours to Makado. Pray for the learners of Tshilidzini School. Pray that the world wide strike of teachers wouldn’t obstruct the preaching of the Gospel.

DAY 12 – WEDNESDAY 11 AUGUST 2010
The school we planned to visit today realized because of the world wide strike. The authorities said that because the teachers strike, we can bring the Gospel to the learners. Praise the Lord, He is good.

DAY 13 – THURSDAY 12 AUGUST 2010
Yesterday our team had a special care group among ourselves. Praise the Lord. Pray for the 200 learners we reached yesterday. There are 300 learners today at Yingisani School. Pray for our loved ones at home.

DAY 14 – FRIDAY 13 AUGUST 2010
Pray for Yingisani School (listen) that the preached Word will carry fruit. There is a great spiritual need from the learners. Pray that someone will do spiritual work at the school full time. Pray for a safe journey to Groblersdal – 170km.

DAY 15 – SATURDAY 14 AUGUST 2010
Groblersdal. We are on our way to Bosele school where 222 Deaf learners are waiting for us. Please pray for new strength for today. Thank the Lord that our residence and meals were for free in Groblersdal.

DAY 16 – SUNDAY 15 AUGUST 2010
Pretoria. Thank the Lord for the worship service that was blessed. A lot of old and young Deaf people from all over gathered at Transoranjé School. Pray for 3 appointments for the day.

DAY 17 – MONDAY 16 AUGUST 2010
Pretoria. Colette presented the assembly opening beautifully on Transoranjé’s 56th birthday. It was a historical moment. Moving. Goose bumps.

DAY 18 – TUESDAY 17 AUGUST 2010
Pray for the VCSV presentation today at Transoranjé. We depart to Johannesburg. Pray for a safe journey.

DAY 19 – WEDNESDAY 18 AUGUST 2010
Gauteng. Thank the Lord that we could bring the Gospel to 30 Deaf people at the DeafSA office. This morning we are at Deaf Christian Fellowship and tonight at Efatta for the Deaf. Praise the Lord.

DAY 20 – THURSDAY 19 AUGUST 2010
Gauteng. We depart to Heidelberg to rest and meet the first years. Yesterday morning 20 adult Deaf people and yesterday evening 11 Deaf people of Effata church gathered together. We talked to Rev Lizette Viviers about Jaco van Wyk’s future. Please pray for Effata Deaf in Kempton Park.

DAY 21 – FRIDAY 20 AUGUST 2010
Gauteng. The first years and senior students met at Heidelberg on a farm. It is a day of rest. This afternoon we depart to the DEF Conference. Thank the Lord for his goodness to us.

DAY 22 – SATURDAY 21 AUGUST 2010
Gauteng. All the DCMA personnel are at the DEF Conference. Pray for the discussions at the Conference. Also pray for the different workshops that’s being presented.

DAY 23 – SUNDAY 22 AUGUST 2010
We attended a very successful DEF Conference. Thank the Lord for the “koinonia” we experienced with Jesus and each other. This afternoon we depart to Bloemfontein as thankful children of the Lord.

DAY 24 – MONDAY 23 AUGUST 2010
We traveled through the night. Thank the Lord everyone is safely home.
