OCTOBER OUTREACH Last outreach of the year: 22 October – 9 November 2010 Click here to view a report of this Outreach. Day 1 – Friday 22 October 2010 Thank you, our group arrived safely in Bloemfontein. We are residing in four different homes. The Baptist congregation in Bloemfontein blessed us with gifts and free accommodation. Day 2 – Saturday 23 October 2010 We gathered for fellowship today and prayed together. After that a high field thunderstorm erupted. It was a nice experience. We visited Magdel (Piet Kotze’s daughter) in the ICU of the Universitas hospital in Bloemfontein. It was traumatic, but necessary. Day 3 – Sunday 24 October 2010 We attended the service at the Baptist congregation. Dr Isak Burger preached. We arrived safely in a soaking wet Qwa Qwa. Hennie and Ria Burger were very glad to see us. Some of the learners greeted us at the kombi. Pastor Hermanus Engelbrecht also joined us. Day 4 – Monday 25 October 2010 Pray for the classes and activities we are going to do today. Day 5 – Tuesday 26 October 2010 Our deepest simpathy with the Kotze, Marais and Van Coller families. Yesterday DCMA had three blessed gatherings – class, school children and Qwa Qwa leaders. Good relationships are being built. Day 6 – Wednesday 27 October 2010 Yesterday after we talked to the learners of Thiboloha about their rights and responsibilities, the Qwa Qwa leaders and DCMA shared together about “Bible Storying”. Pray for today’s sport day. Day 7 – Thursday 28 October 2010 This morning Thiboloha’s assembly opening is DCMA’s responsibility. This afternoon we will lead the Adult Meeting. Pray that everyone will see God’s love and grace in all our presentations. Day 8 – Friday 29 October 2010 Today is our finale meeting for the Adult Deaf people of QDCC. Furthermore we are preparing for our departure early tomorrow morning to Swaziland. Thank you to our Heavenly Father who is providing, Jesus who saves and the Holy Spirit who completes and leads us. Day 9 – Saturday 30 October 2010 Our time in Qwa Qwa was blessed. For the first time the Lord is leading us over the border to Swaziland. We want to be scared, but know that He promised to go with us. We praise Him. Day 10 – Sunday 31 October 2010 We arrived safely in Mpaka at the School for the Deaf where we are staying, 50km away from Manzini. Very tired. This morning we preached for 135 Primary School learners. This evening we are preaching for 50 High school learners. Day 11 – Monday 1 November 2010 Today we are meeting the Principal, mrs Zodwa. Today we are visiting places and tonight we are preaching two times at High School and Primary School. Together 185 learners are reached per day. Pray that the Holy Spirit works. Day 12 – Tuesday 2 November 2010 Yesterday we were privileged to attend the Swaziland Parliament Meeting. Rev Jan interpreted. Few Swazi’s are this privileged. We preached for 165 Deaf people in Siteki yesterday evening. On the programme for today: Assembly, visits to the Association for the Deaf in Swaziland, Adult Deaf Christian Fellowship and the Deputy Minister’s office. Tonight we have fellowship at 2 schools and together it is 185 learners. Please pray. Day 13 – Wednesday 3 November 2010 We are dividing in two groups today. One group will lead the spreading of the Word at the Primary School and the other group at the High School. The Director of Welfare Services of Swaziland said that Anthony Langwenya must write a letter and they will consider funding. Day 14 - Thursday 4 November 2010 Rev Jan and Anthony Langwenya is on their way to the airport to pick up Sanjay Beepat for the ACGMHD Meeting in Swaziland. Today is a sportday. At 11:00 at one school and at 14:00 at another school. Very warm. Pray for new strenght. Day 15 – Friday 5 November 2010 Rev Jan, Anthony Langwenya and Sanjay Beepat are going to Mbabane for the organizing of the Africa contact group’s workshop in 2011. Further on the programme there are assembly and evening meetings. Day 16 - Saturday 6 November 2010 Thank you Lord for your greatness and strength every day. We are going to visit Anthony's father on the farm. Anthony can't wait to see his father, mother, sisters and adopted son. Day 17 - Sunday 7 November 2010 Finishing the last service together in Swaziland, High School and Primary School. 200 children. After that we are departing to Rikus's parents in Sasolburg. Praise the Lord for being with us. Day 18 - Monday 8 November 2010 After a blessed 17 days outreach, 5000km and tired bodies, we are heading back to Worcester today. We slept over at Rikus's parents in Sasolburg. Thank you for your prayers. We reached about 200 Deaf people on a daily basis. From a thankful DCMA-team. We appreciate your support very much. Day 19 – Tuesday 9 November 2010 Yesterday at 22:30 we arrived, after more than 5000km, back to beautiful Worcester. Thank you for your prayers and support.
