Life Skills Training

Students will have weekly training sessions where they are trained in all areas of life skills. All training will be done on a train-the-trainer basis in order to equip students to do this training in their future Deaf communities.

Training will include the following areas:

• HIV and AIDS training
• Financial management
• Personal health and healthy lifestyle (incl. planting a vegetable garden)
• Environmental studies and conservation
• Emotional intelligence and Mental Health
• Social Competency
• Legal documents and issues
• Deafness.

Occupational skills:

The officer will be responsible to train or organize training for students in a variety of skills to enable them to generate an income:

• Entrepreneurial skills
• Farming God’s Way
• Brick making
• Bread baking
• Computer skills
