SILENT STEPS PROJECT In February 2011, a lady named Anette Grobler is took on the challenge of walking woman alone, along the length of the Skeleton Coast in the northern part of Namibia. She finished her 500km walk at the mouth of the Cunene. Anette is doing this historical walk on behalf of NID College and, due to the fact that she will be fundraising for Deaf and hard of hearing students at the NID College, she decided to call the project ‘Silent Steps’. All funds raised for the Silent Steps project will be paid directly into the bank account of NID. The funds raised by Anette will be used to develop NID College’s new Entrepreneurship Programme as well as much needed sport facilities at the College.
