Beauty students visist Shalom Old age home for Deaf elderly.
Our beauty students prepared and took their kit’s to visit Shalom. They treated the ladies with a nice manicure, treat their hands, massage their arms and hands, and painted their nails. The Second Year students did Make-up on the ladies. The Ladies of Shalom enjoyed it very much, and felt very spoiled!

NID COLLEGE FLAG CEREMONY
For the first time NID College held a flag ceremony on the 09th March 2010! While the students ‘sang’ N’kosi Sikeleli in Sign Language, the flags were hoisted. The flag ceremony took place at the new campus in Worcester. The flag hoisting will take place daily.

ABSA CAPE EPIC
On 24 March 2010 NID-College was privileged to be part of the 2010 Absa Cape Epic in a very special way. Sherildene Liebenberg, 2nd Princess in our Mr and Miss NID-College 2009 beauty pageant, was one of the chosen candidates who represented the Absa Cape Epic in the finish line podium presentations held in Worcester on this day.

MR AND MISS NID COLLEGE 2009
The Mr & Miss Deaf NID College Beauty Pageant for 2009 took place on Wednesday 2 September 2009. The students enjoyed every moment of the contest. The College Beauty Pageant forms part of the yearly National Week for the Deaf Festival in September.

After three weeks of orientation and the completion of a First Aid course the students were ready for relaxation. Deaf students from all over Africa and South Africa are starting their career at NID College and therefore, the main aim of the event was for everybody to get to know each other better.
