MR AND MISS NID COLLEGE 2009

The Mr & Miss Deaf NID College Beauty Pageant for 2009 took place on Wednesday 2 September 2009. The students enjoyed every moment of the contest. The College Beauty Pageant forms part of the yearly National Week for the Deaf Festival in September.

Mr Deaf NID College - Victor Sitali (Dubai)
1st Prince - Zuko Gwaza (Cape Town)
2nd Prince - Oupa Menyatos (Pretoria)

Apart from the overall winners of the Mr & Miss Deaf NID College pagaent, we also have various categories. The students identify these categories and they vote beforehand for the winners of each category. The winners are announced during the evening of our pagaent.

NID College staff organized the event. We were privileged to have Liz le Roux form LizCouture Design Studio who took full responsibility for Evening wear, catwalk training as well as for the final makeover of our finalists.

The actress Corine du Toit, the character Jane Edwards in Egoli, and now to be seen in the kykNET drama series Getroud met Rugby, as well as Hadlley Visser from SASKO Bakery Worcester was our presenters for the evening. NID College Beauty Salon took responsibility for all finalists make-up.
